How can I make my nail tips whiter?

I like to look after my nails. They're in reasonable condition and kept shortish with tinted varnish. The trouble is the tips - they're not white (I don't man discoloured just not white iyswim).

Are there any magic formulas out there to resolve this - either shop bought or homemade?

I don't want to constantly do a French manicure as I like the natural look.

Lemon. Use some left over lemon after squeezing it and bury you nails on the juicy inside for a few moments.

Not too long though. That will brighten them up.

I have heard whitening toothpaste can help too but not tried it.

Thanks, I'll give the lemon a go.

Tried the toothpaste thing a few days ago. I wasn't sure what to do so just brushed as if I was doing my teeth. Made no difference. I might try again but leave it on for a few minutes before I jump in the shower.

Don't do what I did and try steradent, as recommended by numerous teenage magazines. It did nothing, and now everybody thinks I have false teeth.

I've tried all these tricks and non of them work for me. I think it is just what u r born with. Really annoying. I just now wear nail varnish to cover it. If I stick to pale shades then it lasts fairly well.

cashmere Grin

mrsap I think you're probably right but I'll still keep trying Smile
