A query

I'm going to a party where the dress code is glamorous / cocktail. Would a full length dress be inappropriate?

I would. If your host has set that dress code, then you cannot be over-dressed. Even if you are the only one in a full length frock, as you will probably look fabulous, the other women will wish they'd worn theirs.

Depends on the dress. Something drapy and sleeveless yes, 80s shoulders in shiny green silk no.

It's sleeveless, dark brown and fitted on the top but a loose drapery skirt.

the alternative is a black knee length shift which is v safe but a bit boring.

I very rarely get out so I have no clue! Wink

Long would be fine! If anything both sound a bit plain. GOt anything to bling the brown one up a bit?

Sounds fine to me.

Where is the party - in a house or venue?
