I've had a stressful year and am looking increasingly crap and as if i have given up.

i am 5ft 7 and a size 14. I have a fairly small waist but big thighs. I live in bootcut jeans and old tops and clumpy ankle boots. I'd like to dress better- but this needs to be practical as I have DC age 3 and 5.

I like a subtle 50s inspired look- tight tops, A line skirts etc. i like wearing trousers but skinny jeans are totally out and dont know what to wear apart from boot cut jeans.

And my fairly curly hair always looks frizzy and crap too.

can anyone style me? I dont have much to spend!!

Thanks

If you look good in b/cut jeans then stick with them! They suit me too and I will NOT countenance skinnies - far too many people wear skinnies who should know better. Do these people not have mirrors. You say clumpy boots - are you weary of the clump factor ? I'm a 12/14 and I feel I need "meaty" footwear ugh that sounds awful! But I mean opposite of "dainty". Look at Rocket Dog boots / Clark's / Campers and see if any of them speak to you. If they do, then ask S&B peeps to reccomend better-priced versions and I'll be watching with interest and so will others I'm sure.
