Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream

I got some of this from my sister for Christmas but have no idea what to do with it.

I assumed it was a night cream for my face, but the texture seems a bit vaseline-y for it to go on my face!

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?!

Lip balm
Smoothing eyebrows
Frizzy bits in hair
Across cheekbones for a bit of shine
Sore bits of skin, ecpecially chapped skin on hands
Rough cuticles

To name a few. Best kept in handbag for rescue situations

Its a bit gooey & smelly but it's great as an overnight face mask!

I've also only just started using this and was surprised by the consistency (and the scent? bleurgh!). I'm using it as a hand cream for night before I go to sleep. Will try it on my face... when I'm not looking for love perhaps!

I bought a tube 10 years ago. I thought it would be useful for dry skin on my cheeks, but it is very greasy. I've used it on my cuticles which was fine but where I find it excellent is as a lip balm. It's long lasting and my lips don't get sore no matter how cold and windy the weather.

I love the stuff and yes it's great for hands, mine are particularly dry from constant washing and one apply of this stuff overnight and they look restored again!

You don't need much which is good as its not cheap!

I've got this.... My mum gave it to me, cause she can't stand the smell of it. It does smell odd but.... It's fantastic on your dry heel skin. Might seem a little extravagant but I don't want it too close to my nose, either! It's made my heels butter soft!

Lip balm.

Am I the only one who loves the smell?

I use it occasionally at night. Poor Mr Euro.

I will definitely use it as a lip balm and hand cream - my hands are wrecked from being in and out of water all day when I change DS2's nappy!

I might be brave enough to use it as a face mask...now might be a good time as DH is sleeping in the spare room whil I BF all night long...

I use it for everything, though these days I use it on the DC more than on me, my current pot lives in their room rather than in mine. You need to use so little that a small pot lasts and lasts. When we travel it's my all purpose cream. It soothes sunburn, sun/wind chapped cheeks, chapped lips, seems to help heal scratches and cuts, eczema, everything!

I love the smell too - it reminds me of Snufflebabe vapour rub! They both smell of thyme.

(Recall the first time I used Snufflebabe, DH asked if I was medicating or marinading the DC).

I use it as hand cream - smells better than Flexitol which I was previously using for really rough cuticles, also really rate the tinted lip balm version which does actually colour your lips unlike some.

You can often find it a bit cheaper on lookfantastic or cheapsmells.

The pot I'm working through at the moment was from TK Maxx, a real bargain. Before that I've only had it in a tube and the lipstick/balm one but love it in a pot.

I used it on DS when he was a baby. I had run out of sudocrem and he had nappy rash. It cleared it up after a couple of applications. Now I use it as a lip balm, on cuticles, on super dry skin anywhere on body, mixed in with powder eyeshadow for a bit of gloss. It's great stuff.

Good as after sun! Helps hydrate burnt skin

It's brilliant on small burns, heals them really fast. Also small cuts & grazes.

I use mine as a lip balm, on dry patches, to keep my eyebrows in places, as a lash serum, on dry knuckles...I could go on forever!
