Anybody else have oily nails?

I don't know if there is such a thing but for some reason nail polish peels off my nails in one piece after one day of wear at most. I have also tried gel nails and shellav which only last a week before lifting. Does anybody have a solution. It is driving me crazy!

Nail techs would use a nail dehydrator then apply the polish. Not sure if you'd be able to get anything like it in boots or superdrug though so you would have to have a search.

Wash hands with soap, then dry thoroughly.
Wipe with 100% acetone or something like Sensationail Cleanser.
Air dry, then use a primer before your polish

I have this same problem. Usually my nail polish chips within 24 hours (if I'm lucky). Last time I painted my nails I used OPI's Chip Skip and they lasted 4 days before chipping - which admittedly is still not as long as it seems to last on some people, but definitely an improvement. However, I have washed up without gloves and had a few long baths and a hair wash during that time so none of that would've helped either.

Thanks for the tips. It is just so frustrating. Might get some of the opi then. Perhaps a better quality of nail polish may help too Smile
