Any tips for keeping eyelashes curled?

I much prefer the look of my makeup when my lashes are curled, and I find waterproof mascara keeps them in place. However, it's a pain in the arse to remove and I can't help but feel I must be ravaging my lashes in the process!

Anyone else got any suggestions?

Thanks

Get them permed or 'lifted'? Most places seem to offer lash lifts rather than lash perms these days, but it's basically the same process as they do on your head hair, just on your lashes instead. A perm involves foam rollers for a curl, the lift I think (never done one, only perms) involves just setting them so they are lifted upwards rather than being curled around a rod.

I was going to say perm 'em too!

however can't always have them permed I find, need a break between perms otherwise I find it makes the eyelashes thinner, so I'd only do 2 or maybe 3 eyelash perms a year

I have been told (but not yet remembered to try) to warm the curlers first with a blast from the hairdryer...

was just coming on to say either perm them or use your hairdryer on your curlers before use. You can buy heated eyelash curlers but IMO they are a waste of money.
