Giving up online shopping!

That's it really...I've recently ordered from Jaeger, M&S, Cos, John Lewis and I've had problems with the fit of most items even though I've ordered the same size...some too big, some too small....why are sizes not consistent!! I live in France too so it's bloody expensive to have it delivered and then send it back. No more online shopping for me!

I'm in the UK so no shipping problems; but the returns are a pain and waste of time.

I always check the measurements of things I order, it helps a bit.

I prefer online shopping. It can be a pain having to return things but at least someone with sweaty armpits hasn't tried your chosen item on 10 minutes or so before you have.

I don't mind returning (as long as they are free) as it is quicker than driving to the shops and going into grotty changing rooms. I much prefer trying things on at home.
