because they've got some on TKMaxx. are they actually as nice as all the hype seems to suggest?

I love mine. I have narrow hips, a long back, a tummy and short legs. I love jeans but have a problem with fit. My 7s aren't perfect but they look fab, so having to hoick them up occasionally is a small price to pay!

MogwaiTheGremlin · 29/01/2013 19:59

Love mine too! I am 5 ft 8 so can never get jeans long enough without having to buy a ridiculous waist size but 7 fit perfectly

StarsAboveYou · 29/01/2013 20:05

I love mine although I don't think I would have paid full price for them. But from TK Maxx I'd go for it.

snailsontour · 29/01/2013 20:20

I bought a pair of 7 FAM Genevivre jeans from Tk Maxx last week, and so far they are brill and I'm really pleased with them.
I think they come up a bit big, and the have grown a bit whilst wearing, but I'm sure they will bounce back when they are washed!
Go for it!

carlywurly · 29/01/2013 20:40

Only brand I wear -,love them, they're flattering and last ages,
and even better when they're not full price Grin

libertychick · 29/01/2013 20:43

I got the Genevierre yesterday from TKMaxx - really pleased with them and hope they wear ok. They were £50 so thought they were worth trying out at that price.

RooneyMara · 30/01/2013 07:16

thanks guys, will go for it then Smile

I ordered them too - bit confused on sizing - I thought 28 was a size 8, but I think it may be a 10. Confused

RooneyMara · 30/01/2013 07:48

Oh golly, I'm not sure - I'm normally a 29 in jeans but have just had a baby so have ordered a 30.and a 29 (I'll send back the one that doesn't fit.)

I'm usually a size 10ish, if that helps - you might be alright, depends how they come up - someone said big I think. I wouldn't get into a 28 at the best of times.

CorrieDale · 30/01/2013 07:53

28s are size 10.

snailsontour · 30/01/2013 11:49

I'm a small 12 or big 10, and usually buy a 30 in most jeans. The 29's I bought are I feel generous and have grown a little, hence me thinking they come up big.

Lakota · 30/01/2013 11:53

I really like them. I wear a 28 (again! at last!), which depending on the brand is usually a 10, but sometimes comes up slightly large round the waist on me. I really wish places did more in-between sizes, I'm rarely a proper 10 or 12, more like a 9 or 11.

RooneyMara · 31/01/2013 16:17

Oh dear, well they arrived and are not too great really. They're a very soft, jersey fabric with no sort of stiffness to it - probably fashionable - I wouldn't know! and it says they are 'cropped' but actually they reach my ankles.

I haven't tried them on, I took them straight back - they're a 'legging' style so I know they'd look atrocious on me. Never mind...might try another style if they get any in.

Snowkey · 31/01/2013 16:40

Mine arrived today, wish they'd said crop on the website. Fabric was thin and soft - pockets were set too high, which is unusual for 7's so gave me a long bum, not pretty and they are massive on the waist. They are most definitely going back, they looked like Mum jeans on me. Sad

RooneyMara · 31/01/2013 18:19

Sorry Snow - I feel like it was my fault.

Can you take them back to a store? Saves on postage.

OP posts:
Snowkey · 31/01/2013 19:22

No worries - it was worth a shot, they didn't charge me postage and I'll pop them back to the shop. Am going into London to do proper Jeans shopping next week anyway - I thought I'd saved myself a few bob, never mind. Smile
