L'Oreal True Match foundation....

....is it any good?

Looking for a lightish foundation with good coverage for my ageing skin. I use a primer so wouldn't need that within a foundation.

I love it. Previously was using only Lancôme. True Match won budget InStyle beauty award, which is why I tried it. Converted. It's great.

I like it - the shade range is very good, and so is the coverage. However, I don't find that it lasts very long on my normal skin without separating - I need to touch up after 5 hours or so. To get around that, I've started mixing it half-and-half with Bourjois Healthy Mix (very long-wearing but a bit yellow and shiny for me) and the result is my ultimate foundation - lasts a really long time, exactly the right shade, never causes break-outs and gives natural looking but good coverage.

I use shade N1 in True Match, and 51 (lightest shade) in Bourjois Healthy Mix - don't know if that's in any way helpful!

Also - I wore it for my wedding, and I my skin looks flawless in the photos even though I had a wedding-stress-breakout going on underneath. It photographs better than any other foundation I've ever tried!

Used to swear by Max Factor's Second Skin which has now transmogrified into a really heavy, cakey jollop called Facefinity. I have red patches and open pores so I do need good coverage but want it to look natural if poss!!

I've used True Match for 5 years and think it's brilliant for the price. Lasts me about 3 months and blends so easily.

Its good.

I use the mineral powder version of it now and that's great too.

Lasts all day.

Went to Boots today and had my skin "analysed" to find my perfect shade. As a result I bought No 7 Stay Perfect foundation which does seem rather, er...perfect
