What is ombre hair?

Beaverfeaver · 27/01/2013 23:00

I love it and have it, albeit very subtle

MrsBertMacklin · 27/01/2013 23:31

As nice as it can look, I think it's going to be one of those hair trends that won't look great in photos in 20 years time (like tiger highlights).

ExRatty · 27/01/2013 23:40

Unless vair vair subtle. A shade difference is great

I've just googled ombre hair. I've had ombre hair for more than a year growing my highlights out. Looks good now but had no idea I was being trendy Grin

Ombre hair examples - seriously thinking about doing it to my hair but a bit worried will look a bit dated. Boots have a diy kit....

ooh mine's a bit like jessica biel's, very subtle. I think go for a colour nearly your own. I almost don't want mine to grow out now I found this thread Grin [behind the times]

it really adds a lot of dynamic movement and shine and is just nicer than a flat colour I think, BUT word of caution - reason I am growing out said colour is that it really damaged the ends of my hair
