Everyday High Street Eyeshadow....Help Needed, Please

Can anyone recommend a light taupe/wheaty coloured eyeshadow for everyday wear, but, from either Boots or Superdrug (or another high street store) I live in the middle of no where and can't easily get to shop selling MAC or Laura Mercier Sad.
I've got blue eyes, brown hair and increasingly piggy eyes as I'm getting older! I just fancy one eyeshadow that I can pop on in the day which isn't too "in your face" and will make my eyes look a bit more of a feature. TIA

I think realistically you need at least 2 shades, one for all over and one for the crease - and ideally a lighter shade for the brow bone and centre of the lid. The Superdrug Sleek palettes are nice, you can get one called Au Naturel with browns and a white and a black (which is good for doing a line with a slanted brush, much quicker than eyeliner pencil). Just had a look on the website and this one looks nice, you could do a nice natural defined eye with the colours in here: Sleek Palette.

I like the NYX Champagne & Caviar eyeshadow palette but I bought it from the US on the makeupgeek website dirt cheap and I can't find it on there any more (must have been on clearance sale) - but they have what looks like the same one on Amazon but called Caviar & Bubbles - here. I've just seen the Smokey collection and might buy that... The NYX palettes are not as densely pigmented or nice quality as the Sleek ones, but they're not bad.

I have this in RSVP and wear it most days. It's looks good and stays put all day.

Bought it in Boots.

I was about to recommend the Sleek Palette in Au Naturel and see that emsyj has beaten me to it! It really is good.

I would also test the Loreal Colour Riche eye palettes, probably the E1 palette for your colouring (which is the same as mine).

MUA palettes! They are £4.99, you get about ten usable colours and they are highly rated by MN...

And are in Superdrug.

Boots No7 have one called 'Wheat' which I think would fit the bill, also 'Mink' is a lovely shade too

Thanks for the replies, I've just ordered the Sleek palette in Au Naturel off Amazon (frighteningly easy!) and tomorrow I'm going to pop along to Boots and have a look at the L'Oreal palettes - Mrs do you use all the colours in the palette or just a couple of them?
happy do use just this one as well? I love the one you chose (and also the one called Birthday Suit) that was the kind of colour I had in mind.

For subtle daytime makeup I just wear that shade. If I want to look a bit more made up I also have the 'flatter me' shade that goes really well with it. I'd never used cream eyeshadow before I got those and I'd really recommend them as they're so quick and easy to put on, you can't really go wrong.

I sometimes only use 2 of the colours; the all-over wash and the mid brown to add definition to my socket line. But if I'm feeling fancy I will also use the gold on the inner corners of the eye and the darker brown to define my lash line. There's a tutorial on the back of the palette.
