'Proper' court shoes

I've got 3 formal occasions this year and I'd like to invest in a proper pair of good leather court shoes. Probably in nude so they go with everything.

Are LK Bennett over rated? I've never bought from there but the leather seems lovely and soft.

Any other suggestions for good quality, last a lifetime courts?

I like LKB although they do get a pasting on here from time to time. I'm just about to buy these www.johnlewis.com/349722/Product.aspx

I live LKB - I have two pairs of courts that I wear in rotation on work days, and they are holding up brilliantly, and are mega comfy. I have never had a pair of shoes from there fall apart, and I recently ebayed a pair I bought 8 years ago that still looks good. They do need resoling though, as they are leather soled.

Ooh they're lovely :)

I love these [http://www.lkbennett.com/shoes/courts/CCSHILO673LEATHER] but I think I might need a lower heel.

Such a lot of money though...

Shilo is a lovely shaped shoe. Too classic for me - I wear Florete - but a fab all rounder.

Just looked - Florete are lovely too!

I have weird feet so I will have to go and try a few hundred pairs on!
