Best colours for me?

Hi everyone, I keep reading people discussing colours ('autumn', 'winter' etc). I'm not going to be able to afford to go to a consultation myself but would love some guidance on what colours suit me, as I genuinely have no idea.

My skin is very pale (palest colour in Mac/Estee Lauder foundation), but I do take a tan. I have blue eyes and reddy-brown hair.

I keep reading things online that suggest looking at the veins in your wrist to see if you're warm or cool toned - apparently warm skin makes them look green, and cold skin makes them look blue. I have no idea whether mine are green or blue-looking - I'd describe them as greeny blue...

I know you wouldn't be able to tell for sure without seeing me, but just a couple of pointers would be lovely! I tend to avoid white, orange, yellow and khaki as it is, and I don't like bright colours on me (like bright blue or red).

Thank you :)

I'm afraid it's virtually impossible to tell without being draped in the colours by a qualified consultant but before I went I found the "truth is Beauty" website very helpful and I managed a very good guess at my season from the info and pictures in there

What colours do people compliment you on when you wear them.

That is a HUGE clue.
