'smart-casual' for an apple shape?

I'm a student who lives in skinny jeans but am going on placement in a few weeks and need to be 'smart casual' i.e no jeans. I am hoping to sneak in my black skinny jeans with longer tops but what sort of bottoms should I get? I am not a skirt or dress wearer at all, I feel uncomfortable and just not 'me' in them. I am a size 12 and prefer to show off my legs if poss as they are my best asset! As with other apples, I don't really have a waist to speak of! Any suggestions please???

Could you get away with wearing five pocket style black twill trousers? like jeans but not denim.

Forgot to add I got some from Fat Face, ordered them online.

Skirts?? I have no waist either and skirts seem to flatter me more than jeans. Although I do wear quite short minis mostly. With opaques. I tend to go for fine cord ones if I need to look a bit smarter than denim. Good luck
