You've unexpectedly been bequeathed a sum by a generous relative that is coincidentally enough for that dream item you've been lusting over.

Don't worry, you've already paid off the mortgage and bought a few Oxfam goats and named a bench in their honour as well.

So, whatcha buying?

No one wants to spend pretend money with me!

Well I would buy this and with the change from my super-generous bequeathment, these.

Doncha know Amber, we all want to dream shop with you!
Whenever I have the luxury of a bath, I dream shop. I love it. But my list changes all the time, depending on what shops my iPadding has taken me. The one constant is Bottega Veneta bags. I love them. Def dream buying one.

dexter73 · 25/01/2013 10:08

I don't really have a dream item. I'm not bothered by shoes or bags. I would just like to go somewhere like Selfridges and spend the day there buying whatever I fancied. Or maybe I would get a new car!

joliejolie · 25/01/2013 10:21

I would love these but could never justify the price without an inheritance!
If I had change leftover, I'd take this jacket please!!
For a bit of colour, I'd stick with Chanel as well.

Sigh....

AmberNectarine · 25/01/2013 10:28

Jolie amazing choices, two right off my NAP wishlist there!

dexter ooh, smash and grab in Selfridges, now that sounds like a good idea! I am learning to drive at present, so maybe I'll be harbouring car based desires before long!

lurking BV, a classic choice. Maybe get the matching purse as well?

I don't think I'd buy much clothes-wise - maybe invest in an exquisite classic winter coat. Wouldn't spend more than 500 tops though. BUT if I did get such an inheritance, I'd go fuck-off shopping for my home not that I have one of those yet either. Furniture. Bookcases. Sofas. Chairs. Beds. Lamps. I'd buy gleaming dark wood and quality EVERYTHING, and I'd never have to resort to Argos again. I can't even link to anything because I don't even know where I might find such beauteous objects!

madammecholet · 25/01/2013 11:03

chloe marcie in metallic

lurkingaround · 25/01/2013 11:41

Absolutey the matching purse! How did I not think of it.
A Coach bag too, maybe.

Tweet2tweet · 25/01/2013 11:56

lurkingaround · 25/01/2013 12:09

I've had a hankering for this since last summer.

lurkingaround · 25/01/2013 12:11

Sorry wrong link, tho that is nice. and with all that money, why not.

This is what I meant to link.

Tweet2tweet · 25/01/2013 12:18

PS- Cutesy this is the furniture I would buy if money was no object
I have no idea why I know about all these luxury items but can't afford any of them!!!!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 25/01/2013 12:48

I'd start with this and a pair of these to go with it.
A pretty little necklace and a nice blouse which would go well with my dream boots which I bought with christmas present money already. Like a Dandy Highwayman Wink

novelsituation · 25/01/2013 17:42

Another vote for the Marcie. This time in a summery light khaki:

SoldeInvierno · 25/01/2013 19:05

I would buy something like this

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 25/01/2013 21:28

I would like an Ossie Clark dress, I tried on the most beautiful cream one once but sadly it was £750 :(

WifeofPie · 25/01/2013 21:46

I'd buy a really beautifully tailored pant suit (for evening), something with a bit of sheen maybe, and some sort of intricate and beautiful gigantic ring.

After that it would be stuff for the house. Custom-made curtains in luxurious fabrics, beautiful rugs and artwork.

And a pony Smile.

DonaAna · 25/01/2013 22:44

Have missed this thread - why just one bag?

For daily use, one bag per each weekday. A Chanel Boy in burgundy and a navy jumbo or maxi flap. Throw in a couple of Celines too. And a vintage bamboo handle Gucci from Japan...

The big serious investment bag: I would finally have to figure out whether it's a Kelly or a Birkin that I really want/need, and seams turned in or out...

AmberNectarine · 26/01/2013 06:23

Good point Dona. In which case I'll throw in a YSL Cabas Chyc and a pair of Balenciaga brogue boots.

I'm with Dexter37, I'd spend the entire day in Selfridges London and start from top to bottom, homewares, skincare, books, shoes, bags, a years worth of food from the fod hall, hair but & colour, nails and feet done, pens & paper - THE LOT!

I would also get a £10,000 giftcard sent to all my girlfriends with a limo to pick them up and whisk them here for a sublime lunch in The Tasting Room.
