Boden free return labels

Bit of a cock up by Boden - they've printed a batch of free return postage labels with the wrong code on, which means that the label cannot be used and the customer has to pay the postage.

I went to the post office with a return today, and was asked to cough up by the chap behind the counter. Royal Mail have apparently informed Boden, but the labels are still in circulation.

The code I used for free delivery / free returns was 'UKSC' - but be aware the label might be wrong!

Anyhoo, no harm done: Boden have credited my account with a fiver - more than it cost to send it .

Just to confirm this- took a free returns to PO today and nice lady at till said the label was not quite right- it was missing the required "R". She offered to put it through the system but said it may get lost- diverted etc so I have brought it home again and will stick on one of the saved, correct labels I have stashed away.

But be aware- if the PO does not notice, your parcel could go missing or be delayed.

I am going to call Boden now.

I have just checked my free return labels and on my two very recent ones for Royal mail there is a missing R in the black box where the large 2 is.

On my older ones it has got r2 in the box. On these it is just 2, so I am going to throw these away as I used the collect+ ones to return stuff.

I was just keeping these for future returns

ah now they mentioned this to me BIG ones have to have a V on
