The Cambridge Satchel Co - Which colour?

I have decided to treat myself to the 11" Classic Satchel as with a 7wo DS I need a small across the body bag when out and about with the buggy.

Torn between the colours!! Should I play safe and buy the Tan? Timeless but I have other tan bags, or do I take the plunge and go for either the Red or Pink?

Or at 37 am I to old for this bag anyway?!

I would go the colour which is most likely to go with the majority of your clothes, if you are planning on using it every day or if it is expensive.

That said, I quite fancy the idea of a pink satchel, so I am not much help. And no, 37 isn't too old.

Red or pink.

Go for a colour - nothing perks you up on a dull day like a bright bag. I'm not a pink person, so would say red, but clearly it's up to you!!!

I have a pink bag and everyone compliments it.

Goes with more than u would think and I don't wear a lot of pink at all.

Just think tan is a bit play it safe and not fond of black at all.

I've got that one in the Navy. I love it but it's very stiff - be warned. It gets loads of comments.

A woman at work has the pink one...and I'm not sure I like it I'm afraid. As Pseud says, it's very stiff and it looks a bit cheap in the pink imo - sorry!

They're not very nice at all.

I like satchel bags normally but those aren't done well at all, they look really stiff and rigid and not nearly well made enough for the price.

Mine is softening up now, after a year! I don't use it that often. They are well-made, they are just traditional satchels, perfect for carrying a book, because they are the shape of a book though, it means you can't fit much in them. I prefer the more traditional colours myself. Zatchels saddle bag is very nice too.

I'm 39yrs and I wouldn't wear one....Prefer the grey or navy to the bright colours tho..

I'm 37 and would wear a satchel in a bright colour :)

I have the dark brown one and I love it. Have had it a few years and it still looks brand new. I went for that colour as I really couldn't decide. A friend has the red one and it's gorgeous. Saw someone with a dark green one yesterday (may not have been a Cambridge one though) and that looked good too. It's a tough choice!

I had this dilemma recently! I finally decided that some of the colours looked a bit 'cheap' but the red and dark green were lovely. In the end I bought a metalic one

Before you buy it, I just remembered I saw a gorgeous pink leather satchel in the Doc Martins shop in Covent Garden. It was on a high shelf so I didn't look at it in detail but it was a gorgeous shade and looked very well made. Might be worth a look.

They're nice however the practicality worries me!

You generally are one handed when you have babies and this looks like it'd need two hands to open it.

Not two hands necessarily but it is more fiddly to get into than a standard handbag. I always seem to get sighed at in shop queues now because I faff about longer getting my money out
