Zara online question

I'm sure this question has been asked before, though I did a quick search and found nothing.
When ordering from Zara, what do they do if one or more of your items are out of stock and you've paid with Paypal? I placed an order last week that was still "being processed" when I noticed that another item I wanted was back in stock. I checked to see that all the other items I wanted we're still available and I cancelled the original order (shocking that almost a week later I could) and got an immediate Paypal refund. I then placed my new order and decided to splurge with express delivery so I could have it for the weekend.

Now my question is....are the items I want just really unpopular and that's why they were still in stock? I'm confused because two were in the last sizes section and I'm surprised they are still there and they ARE STILL showing in stock. How accurate are the stock levels? What is the likelihood that I will have everything I ordered in the parcel I receive. Better still, what is the likelihood that I'll have my order by the weekend when the standard 5-7 day order I placed was still sitting there being processed a week after I ordered? Also, will I get a Paypal refund straight away if anything is out of stock?

I'm obviously over-thinking this, but I have heard some terrible things from friends about Zara's recent online CS and it's been too long since I last ordered online to remember. I've never paid almost £10 for delivery though! Moment of madness over a dress and jacket!!!

I ordered some clothes from Zara 2 weeks ago and they took over a week to arrive. For most of the time my order status said "being processed", giving me the option to cancel. The items in my order that i was waiting for were all sold out when i checked back a few days later so I was worried nothing would arrive.

I emailed them to ask where my order was and they replied saying the delay was due to the January sales, and the same day I got a despatch confirmation email. All items present and correct but no good for me so I had to go through a clunky return-courier process. I think your items will arrive as ordered but delivery seems to take ages and returns are a PITA. Drop them a line chasing up your order?

I recently gave up buying from Zara online because the service was so bad and found the item I wanted on Ebag. However I found that when I finally got through to customer services they were quite helpful.

eBay, not sure what Ebag is!

I can never give up on Zara! Well, it would take a lot. My 12yo dd loves them, I love them, even dh is a convert. I have my fingers firmly crossed that I'll be wearing my new dress, jacket and boots for Saturday's date night!
That is a dream, because I know nothing will fit.

I'm sure you will look lovely. I will definitely still be shopping instore, I do still love Zara, I have my eye on a gorgeous stripey dress :)

Do they still ship from Spain? I always assumed that was why delivery took ages.

joliejolie · 23/01/2013 11:04

Needn't have worried. Order still says processing, but it arrived this morning!!
Everything fits perfectly and I'm thrilled. I have never had everything fit so well, even the impractical little red suede ankle boots! Happy day. Smile

I ordered loads of clothes for the kids in the Zara sale recently and I found them fantastic - really great quality. Delivery took about a week and I had no problems. Love them!

I cannot take these boots off...they are fantastic!! I want them in every colour. Sadly I'm going to have to swap them for wellies for the school run soon.
