What shall I stock up with?

I've just joined Mumsnet so that I can ask you lovely ladies for some advice (I've been lurking for a while and know there are some knowledgeable people out there!).

I live overseas and the shops are pretty crap, so my skincare products tends to be whatever I can get hold of. I'm off to the UK at the weekend and intend to stock up at duty free on my way home. I'm in my fifties, reasonably good skin but starting to be saggy, with a few wrinkles and baggy eyes. I need cleanser, facial scrub/exfoliator (gentle), serum (?), under eye cream, day cream. I've already got EL night repair on the list. Any suggestions?

Hoping everyone's finished lunch and can give me some pointers?

Thanks Blush

have a look at the In Style annual round up of the best products - it's normally available online and has really good recommendations. Have a good raid on Boots as well for the non premium stuff as well of course...

Liz Earle products are effective, in my experience - also international online orders and stocked at some branches of Boots, which may include airports:

I like Neal's Yard www.nealsyardremedies.com/ and Aesop, if you are near a London branch or in Selfridges: www.aesop.com/uk/

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have a look at the In Style article - I want to have some ideas of what I want before I turn up so i don't get bamboozled by an over-enthusiastic sales assistant! (Wouldn't be the first time)

Sali Hughes, the Guardian beauty writer, has a following - her videos are useful and broken down into categories like serums, cleansers and so on:

Kandy, thanks, I do read Sali Hughes, but didn't think to look back at her columns - what a good idea!
