TK Maxx fans - what's your strategy? Do you fill wardrobe gaps or go with the flow?

I have found some lovely things in TK Maxx, but found you can rarely go in looking for a specific item, which means i do have some items that don't go with anything else in my wardrobe. Do you just accept this or are you quite strict with yourself?

No, I don't have a strategy generally, I just buy as I find, but my last few purchases (black Moschino polka dot pencil skirt, navy VW red label draped skirt) have been sensible items that fit in my wardrobe anyway. However I did go in there before Christmas looking for a party dress and came out with a silver sequin Karl Lagerfeld number, so I have had targeted success also.

Don't go in shopping for basics because that's not what they do. Altho lingerie & socks are good.

I browse by items that I wear most - cardigans and dresses - which saves buckets of time. But of all stores, TK is the time-consuming one as you have to truffle-hunt for the right makes and the right size.

I've only once bought something that I was looking for - sunglasses! They were £10 from £100. Oh and jumpers.

I can always find a handbag but that's not always never a necessity!
