Dd went through a teenage hormonal phase and her hair was vile. Greasy and dirty looking immediately after it was washed. Our lovely hairdresser recommended using Toni and guys extra cleanse shampoo, is part of men's range in grey plastic bottle, and her hair is so much better.

It was really bad though, I used to make her wear a her when we went out together!

I use Alberto Balsam tea tree shampoo and conditioner, I wash every other day and condition every other day time I wash. If I condition every time my hair is definitely worse. Its about £1.50each for the shampoo and conditioner. I do find changing brands every now and again helps too, another one I like is Tommy Guns sage and basil, that's about £5/6 each and you get in John Lewis or Waitrose.

Can I join, my hair is vile after 24 hours Sad

The only thing that's ever worked was pregnancy! Honestly, my hair was bloody lovely, washed it every 3rd day and it looked fine.

Back to square one within a couple of weeks though.

I'm intrigued by those lush bar thingies. Do they really work?

My hair is also a greasy nightmare. I never go more than a day and half without washing. Nothing I have ever tried has made any difference. Mine is dry on ends so needs conditioning to be able to get comb through it. By evening my fringe hangs in rats tails when I only washed it that morning Sad I have friends who go a week between washes --I hate them Envy - -

oh it's so good to know we're not alone!! Especially in this weather when it's so cold - imagine only having to wash every 3 days!!

Grow it longer.

My hair will still be long when I'm 70 because if it's short it needs washing by mid day.

www.paulmitchell.com/Products/PaulMitchell/Clarifying/Pages/ShampooTwo.aspx

I've had a look on google and there are plenty of places to get it from. It works really well and keeps my hair clean and grease free.

Just bought my Paul Mitchell Smile Will let you know how it compares to the Lush bar.

Oh and it was £9 from a city centre salon so a lot cheaper than amazon for 300ml inc postage.

Got mine (Paul Mitchell) on order from Amazon too. Just hope it works, anyone else giving it a go?

My PM shampoo arrived today (amazon) , came from Sweden weirdly.

I hope you all find it works well as I've recommended it! Wash twice, you prob would anyway but I tend to as I like that squeaky clean feeling.

Try cider apple vinegar, two parts water to one part vinegar, used as a rinse for 5 mins before you wash as normal, followed by an icy cold brain freeze rinse after - it cuts through grease and product build up like nothing else I have used, coupled with not drying my hair for an hour or so after washing, but making sure I dry it completely with the hair dryer = glossy shiny hair that I can wash every other day.

well suze I used it yesterday for the 1st time and was quite impressed ..but sadly my hair was still greasy today
will not judge until a few more days ...made sure it was squeaky clean today and didn't use conditioner..not giving up yet

ggirl from reading the blurb on the website it does work better over time so def keep going with it. It's good for removing product build up too.
