As part of my new year's resolve to look after myself I have been investigating various make up/skin stuff, having not worn it for 14 years which .
So i got some Bobbi brown gel eyeliner off( ebaycheap) and some lacura products from Aldi . The make up is minimal, just eyes. Over last couple of days I have been told that I am glowing and look like I have had a face lift! I am a very ,very stressed, exhausted newly single mother of 6 worried about finances etc! I think it must be the lacura creams! God they are amazing!
Just thought I'd share!Smile

Yes yes i bought myself the day and night creams after i heard them raved about. My skin was looking dire after a couple of months being ill. They've made such a difference in mere weeks. So impressed.

FreePeaceSweet · 18/01/2013 23:17

The shimmering day cream is amazing. I love the smell its mildly fruity. :o

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 18/01/2013 23:18

I am going to Aldi tomorrow i think i will have a look!

Clure · 18/01/2013 23:32

I bought the under eye antiwrinkle cream today Smile

I liked the way that many of the Lacura products performed, but I really struggled with the fragrance, especially the night cream. Had to stop using it as it was so strong I couldn't get to sleep!
That was about 4 years ago, perhaps they've reformulated since. Can anyone tell me if they're still highly fragranced?

FreePeaceSweet · 19/01/2013 11:39

I think they're highly fragranced. Also if you don't use the stuff within around 6 months I believe the smell turns. Still love the range though.

SueFawley · 19/01/2013 11:58

Oh that's a shame Free. I'd definitely try them again if they cut back on the fragrance. Good products.

AntoinetteCosway · 19/01/2013 12:05

My DMIL bought me some of the night cream a few years ago as she'd heard good things about it but it brought me out in a terrible rash. I think they're not great for sensitive skin.

HaveAGoodDay · 19/01/2013 12:35

I've been using their day & night cream for a couple of years now & their face serum, their anti-ageing one, & I have to say its pretty good stuff. One of my friends is always saying how youthful I look & the lack of wrinkles I have around my eye area! The scent is quite strong, however evaporates once rubbed into the skin. I won't use anything else & at such bargain prices, how can you go wrong?!

usualsuspect · 19/01/2013 12:36

It makes my eyes water, I do have sensitive eyes though.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/01/2013 13:08

The wrinkle stop is very good, it has snake venom in it. I use the serum on my neck and chest too.

DancingInTheMoonlight · 19/01/2013 13:12

I love the Lacura range and have been racing about them for months! So cheap too!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/01/2013 13:18

What do you do with shimmering day cream? Is it a highlighter? I'm a bit out of touch with these things.

iMe · 19/01/2013 14:07

Does it have a SPF?

NoelHeadbands · 19/01/2013 16:09

They do nothing for my skin and I particularly dislike the shimmering day cream- it's sticky and highly peach (?) scented. On the plus side, it doesn't have large glitter pieces in it, so I can see how some people like it

bigbuttons · 19/01/2013 17:11

The shimmering day cream has some sort of very subtle glittery stuff in it that lights up the skin. I mix it with a tiny blob of tinted moisturiser and it works wonders. I don't find it at all sticky, quite the opposite infact. It is highly fragranced but I like that. But I reckon even if I didn't like the smell I could put up with it for face lift features!!!! I also have the Q10 day and night cream, just gorgeous and not at all strong smelling.

I just have to find a good under eye concealer and I'm sorted!

I love it but HATE the scent, it is kind of peachy/sickly fruity, yuk.

The lipglosses are gorgeous though

canoodle · 19/01/2013 17:21

I bought some serum and daycream after reading about them on here. The scent is vile, really vile, and my slightly sensitive skin felt sore after using the serum. I binned it and haven't opened the day cream at all. As with many of my Aldi experiments, I've ended up wasting money.
