I put heel balm on my hands before bed thinking it was hand lotion.. once I squeezed it out I realised I had made a mistake but rubbed it in anyway along with my feet and my hands are now super soft again!! ta da!! :)

Flexitol = fantastic heel cream but now do a handcream too and much cheaper than This Works!

shopafrolic · 17/01/2013 19:40

Thisis possibly the best news I've had in a long while - rubs scaly hands together in delight.

I can go one further and say that I have been using Flexitol as face cream for the last 10 days. My face has been really, really suffering with the cold and then central heating, and my normal moisturiser wasn't touching it. I slapped some Flexitol on and it has cleared up. Is it me though or does it smell absolutely appalling?! I have been wearing twice as much perfume to mask.

shopafrolic · 17/01/2013 19:53

Don't think I could go there putting urea on my face.......

TheProvincialLady · 17/01/2013 20:14

If you put it on your hands youll edn up eating it. Just sayin'.

NorbertDentressangle · 17/01/2013 20:19

It does smell strange but if you read the ingredients it is largely Urea.

And to quote some site on google "Urea (also known as carbamide) is a waste product of many living organisms, and is the major organic component of human urine". mmmm....nice Hmm

Itsjustafleshwound · 17/01/2013 20:28

With lanolin, water and urea it does absolute wonders ...

So pleased that others use it as a hand cream

hugoagogo · 17/01/2013 20:48

I couldn't use that heel balm on my hands it stinks!

Eucerin make face creams containing urea, there supposed to fantastic and don't smell. I have only used the aquaphor balm, which is brilliant for really dry patches (ie my poor nosey), but too rich for all over your face.

Savechamges · 17/01/2013 21:05

I use it before bed to avoid the smell or eating it! Seems to help.... Grin

After I've rubbed it into my feet at night I rub the remainder into my hands too. It's good stuff. I was visiting family in Germany over Christmas and got hold of some of the Gerwohl cream that has been recommended on here. I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Flexitol though. Too runny and doesn't sink in as well. I was glad to get home to my Flexitol again despite the horrible smell.

Nothing has sorted out my horrific all over scales like yu be. It smells a bit medicinal but works really well. www.yu-be.com/

I used my CCS foot cream on my shrivelled, dry, old face this morning. It is fantastic. It contains urea but is a scent free, white cream. The only thing that has worked on my dry skin in this weather. I am thrilled.
