What is a good mineral foundation

I tried one the other day and much preferred it to a traditional foundation.

The problem is that I don't know which one I tried and I have been warned that you can call pretty much anything a mineral foundation.

Any recommendations?

Avon is fab if you can get the right colour - far superior to anything else I have tried.

Bare Minerals is great and a tenner on ebay once you have been colour matched correctly.

Lily Lolo is good as no bismuth in it so fab if BM makes you itch - no good for people who need a lot of coverage though ime but tons of colours to choose from and great tester kits for next to nothing.

BM Bisque concealor is the best concealor ever. FACT! Grin

Love Lilly Lolo.

I tried it begrudgingly 2 years ago and for the first time in my life, am brand faithful.

I'd rather not wear make up than go back to anything else.

Another recommendation for Lily Lolo. I used Estee Lauder doublewear for years and swapped it for this as my skin was slowly getting worse and worse and needed more and more cover.

Skin has improved massively since using it, so I now need less coverage - if I get a spot I use my MAC concealer under it, it's completely camouflaged.

I've been using Lily Lolo for a few years, they do good tester pots so you can compare colours. I am pale and found they have a good choice of colours. If you sign up for emails they send special offers eg free delivery from time to time.

Never seen it mentioned on here but I was bought a starter set of Mii Minerals for Christmas and I love it. One of my friend is a make up artist and uses it on clients and herself. It is great and not at all drying like some can be.

Another fan of Lily Lo here.

You need to invest in some good brushes though. Their Kabuki brush is really good.

But the Lilly Lolo blusher brush is not. Much better to buy the big powder brush and use that for blusher.

Another vote for Lily Lolo here. Have used it for about 4 years. I'm 52 and for the last 2 years it hasn't looked quite as good on me but having tried Dior Nudeskin and Benefit liquid foundations over the last year, I've gone back to LL and it still looks better on me than everything else I've tried. And I've never had the red, scaly patches in the creases at the sides of my nose that I used to have constantly. DD uses it too and she has acne-prone skin and she really likes it.
