Tights that don't fall down, do they exist?!!

I am seeking the holy grail! I have to wear uniform for work (nurse) but no matter which tights I buy they drive me nuts by falling down. With the weather atm I need thicker ones/fleece type. Please help me wise ones before I go insane!!

I wear Wolford or Falke and I never have any problems with them. They are expensive, but they can easily last 2 or 3 seasons.

Another wolford/falke wearer here. Love both, but I think that Falke have better plain tights than Wolford ( and cheaper).

Primark super cosy! They are fab! Warm and don't shift all day. I love them

Today I wore Tesco 140 denier black tights with a pair of M&S thin thermal leggings (£14)underneath, pair of socks and boots. I also wear their thermal tops under dresses, They did have some nice thin ones that are like long sleeve t-shirts (£14) and have lots of colours

I find that the thicker tights do end up falling down but today they all stayed in place and were comfy, no digging in.

Double knicker. Every day. Not great for vpl but great for security. Particularly if you're rushed off your feet wearing a dress.

I should clarify that means one pair inside the tights, and one on top.

Definitely double knickers, I made the rookie mistake of going out with only one pair of knickers on and had to keep hoiking my tights back up, they ended up falling down around my knees in primark. That was quite embarrassing.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, I will investigate! Double knickers has been suggested before but I only wear thongs! Maybe they may work just as well!

I also recommend Primark super cosy! They are lined with fleece do super warm and they are the only tights I've had that I don't need to do wonder woman style pants over the top!

I get the M&S 3D ones, 60 den. They have the comfiest waistband I've every worn. I do sometimes double knicker too though, although haven't had to with the 3D ones yet.

I also have no trouble with tesco tights. I have tried lots of more expensive brands but tescos are the only ones that don't fall down for me.

Oh my days, double knickers?!! I have never heard of such a thing.

Surely if you're having to wear two pairs to keep your tights up, it's time to consider a change in the brand of tights you wear.

I did the double knicker thing yesterday, for the first time.

It worked brilliantly and kept me nice and warm!

I only heard of the double knicker thing form some of my elderly patients! It's obviously a method that's been around for years!

Are you tall, op? I have this as I can never get tights long enough for my lanky pins. I like the primary cosy ones, and I like my shapewear pants on top. Doesn't budge all day (and I'm a drama teacher so really active).

My DD told me about double knickers apparently it's the approved method for keeping up your tights at her school ( she is 9).
I remember having to do it - but haven't worn tights for years now.

Falke wearer here. Also getting the right size is crucial. Too small and they are effectively too short and fall down, too big and they also fall down. It's a science.

These were on Dragon's Den. They didn't invest, but Theo offered them a trial order to sell them in La Senza, IIRC.

M&S ( top of the range) but buy a size bigger.

Double knicker here too. it does work and means you can wear any tights you like.

I have tried all brands.

The best, imo, are MandS velvet opaque ones, 60 denier, size L for me ( am 14 normally). am 6 ft so prone to falling down tights syndrome.

These tights last YEARS and never ladder, better than wolford.

I find it infuriating that you can buy different tights from the same shop/brand and some will fall down and some won't. Arghhh!

And "hipster" tights just shouldn't exist full stop - can anyone keep these up? Tights should be hoiked up to your bosom for extra warmth
