Crumpet ceased trading - no refund!!!

I bought a few things from their online outlet before Christmas which I returned as they did not look the same as they did online. I received some crappy modal scarf in the post this morning from them with a credit note as apparently they have ceased trading and will not be honouring refunds! Is this legal?

I am so pissed off.

there were insufficient funds in Crumpet's account to pay the refund so it didn't go through. Having gone into Paypal this doesn't appear to be covered by the options in the resolution centre :(. I think we need a Crumpet boycott....

Me too! I bought a couple of dresses which added up to about £80, had emails to say they'd received them back and would refund me, now have no dresses and no refund, only a credit note. I do think it's good they've made sone effort, but I've bought a dress from somehwhere else now and would obviously rather have the cash back. I paid through Paypal.

sometimes it works if you leave a comment on their fb page or twitter. Not sure if they have a twitter page, but they have a FB one. People should know anyway that they're shits

I still get Crumpet emails as if nothing has changed.

Really bad. I'd avoid them (if I ever bought from them in the first place).
