Skinny jeans.....again

I bought 3 pairs if Superdry skinny jeans yesterday. I tried them in and was thrilled at how lovely they were, nice tight fit, no camel tie, hoggish waist so no knickers showing or constantly having to tug them up.

Cue today, put a pair in and by lunchtime they are baggy as hell around the tops if my thighs/crotch area. I'm gutted!

So I'm going to take them back - not sure what they will say as Superdry only offer exchange or credit, not refund. But in my opinion,
these are not fit for purpose, and are certainly not skinny fit!

Anyway. So where should I look next? Are top shop Baxters good? Heard a lot about them but never tried.

Sorry, lots of typos. Hoggish = highish

Can you exchange them for a smaller pair? They are notoriously arsey about refunds in my local Superdry, which is why I now only buy things online.

I don't have the figure for skinny jeans, but my DDs like TopShop's super skinnies.

OohIsThatAFlake · 15/01/2013 14:40

Don't laugh but George at Asda do a fantastic super-skinny jean in indigo or black for about £12 a pair. I'm a size 6 and they are skinny tight on me.
Just a thought.

I bought a pair of primark push up super skinny dark blue yesterday Size down and £13 really good jeans very surprised.

SPsFanjoIsAsComfyAsAOnesie · 15/01/2013 14:45

I like my Primark £7 pair tbh. Had them a couple of years and still fit well.

I had some new look ones which once put if the dryer would fit great then a couple of hours late they would be falling down

Jinkjude · 15/01/2013 14:46

Gap skinnies are quality made.

MorrisZapp · 15/01/2013 14:47

Anywhere that does a proper high waist gets my vote. Primark jeans are cute but too low cut for me.

Great for anybody who can fit into superdry though!

SPsFanjoIsAsComfyAsAOnesie · 15/01/2013 14:55

Primark are the only jeans that fit me round the waist without having to go into the kids section.

I have loads of pairs in all different colours. I live in jeans

BobbiFleckmann · 15/01/2013 14:56

baxters grow, and are v low rise. There are some similar priced bargains in teh Donna Ida sale at the moment - Mother skinnies are the bomb - soft as anything , decently high at teh back, lower at the front. Size down.

noddyholder · 15/01/2013 15:12

I like baxters but they do stretch too much and fall down giving knee bag! Primark £7 are my faves too esp the grey they really stay tight.

DesperateHousewife21 · 15/01/2013 16:05

I bought a pair from Zara and they are lovely, skinny, don't fall down and look fab.

Also like Topshop Leigh supersoft skinnies. They do it by waist and leg length which us good because Im quite tall. (5"8 and size 8)

EuroShagmore · 15/01/2013 16:18

I am really pleased (and surprised) with a sale bargain I picked up - Oasis' Cherry skinnies. Quite high waisted, lovely fit. Nice colours too.

FunnyLittleFrog · 15/01/2013 16:22

Yep, Zara are ace. Love mine. Something to do with where the stitching is makes my legs look thinner than they are.

Sleepyfergus · 15/01/2013 20:37

Thanks everyone. My quest will continue then. All geared up for a 'fight' with Superdry re getting a refund as opposed to a credit/exchange, although I might exchange the pair I've worn for the next size down and see how they fare. If they seem ok, then I'll exchange the other 2 pairs for smaller sizes too.

I'm just so cheesed off as I thought I'd cracked it, and it was the first place I tried too.

I like Zara skinnies too - high enough on the waist - lots of "give" but not bagginess. I'm intrigued by the Primark £13 ones Noddy - how high do they sit?
