Max Factor Facefinity.....

I bought this as I couldn't find max factor's Second Skin foundation (a favourite of mine) and am guessing its taken its place.

Well! There's no comparison! Facefinity is thicker and drier than Second Skin.

Really need to find a foundation closer to Second Skin, light in feel but gives good coverage. Any ideas oh wise ones?

Have you looked on ebay for the Second Skin? I've just checked and there are lots on there - this often happens when a product is discontinued, they are cheap as chips on ebay for a few months.

But answering your question, I use Estee lauder Double Wear for great coverage and light feel.

Thanks emsyj I didn't think of EBay, will have a look!

And maybe now I'm getting older I should think about upping my game, make-up wise!

Very rarely buy high end make up but when I do it's worth it.

Estee Lauder counters will give you a week's supply of both Double Wear and the Double Wear Light (which I don't like nearly as much - it's a lot lighter coverage so I have to layer it on, whereas you need hardly any of the Double Wear and it takes 2 mins to put on as a result) as testers for you to try before you buy. I would go along and ask for samples to try and see what you think, the Double Wear is very very popular and often recommended on here Smile.

I used the max factor one and didn't get on with Estée Lauder one.
I'm not using a no7 one. Never used to get on with no7 but they were the closest I could get

Yes, they replaces SS with FF.

Love Double Wear Light but find Double Wear far too cakey. Great coverage and light on your skin - what's not to love?

BaconAndAvocado · 14/01/2013 17:04

Are there any more, er, down market cheaper foundations that anyone would recommend for good coverage yet light in feel?

The Bourjois Healthy Mix one gets great reviews - I have heard on here that Bourjois are made by the same people who make Chanel (hence the fab eyeshadows) and that it's as good as a lot of high end foundations. I've not tried it myself so I don't know how good the coverage is, but it's highly rated so worth a look.

Thanks emsyj that sounds interesting. Bourgois is not a brand I'd normally go for.
