Wide legged trousers

Hello! Please help me buy some trousers or cords or jeans (or all of the above) that I will love! I am 5'5" with slim legs but a wobbly post partum tum which looks awful hanging over anything low rise or skinny legged! I like very wide, very straight cut trousers and would like the waist to be high enough for me to tuck my wobbly bits into! Grin Clearly this is not the current fashion so they are hard to find...any recommendations?

Toast have got some great wide legged jeans. I'm 5'1" and had to slice a few inches off the bottom, but you'd be ok at 5'5".

these beauties

or these cords

VerityClinch · 13/01/2013 16:47

you can't get wider than these Grin

What shoes would you wear though, that wouldn't get swamped?

Toast have wide legged cords in the sale bit too.

x post verity about the cords.

I wear chunky flats with wide leg trousers for work.

They are gorgeous verity and a good price too... Just wondering if my normal size 10 will fit with a high waist..may have to take the risk!

Ooh, the cords are great! Am I better going for a size 12 to reduce muffin toppage? Hope they have size 12 in the cords...

Right, am buying the cords now, in grey. I'd like another pair of trousers so please post more suggestions!

I have these. They are very comfy but they do expand/stretch with wear so size down.

Think Toast is pretty true to size, and the jeans certainly are stretchy.
