What to hear with long dark brown jacket

I have a beautiful dark brown silk jacket with a little bit of gold detail the buttons, that I bought a couple of years ago in the sales. However I don't ever seem to have anything to wear it with.

I generally wear black and none of the 5 pairs of brown trousers I own look quite right either.

Can anyone suggest what I could try with it please?

I'm not the right shape for shift dresses by the way (pear shaped).

urgh I meant wear ... the two letters aren't even close on the keyboard lol

Does it work with jeans at all?

Do you have a picture of it at all?

It's quite formal, hip length, no collar, and with horizontal stripes in the fabric, same colour but matt and slighly shiny

I have a job interview in a couple of days. I'm probably not going to wear it, though if I take a brown necklace, black trousers, black collarless top, that might work.

However it's sat in my wardrobe for a couple of years. I've worn it once, with a blue and yellow tunic dress and tights. The dress was actually far too short to wear without trousers/leggings

I'm not keen on brown and black together. Would it work with cream trousers/dress?

But sometimes when an item just doesn't work with your wardrobe or get worn then its best to sell/charity shop it. Or I find it reproaches me every time I open my wardrobe.
