Can anyone recommend a matte, light to medium coverage foundation?

I have tried a couple of BB creams (garnier, rimmel and no.7) but these really feel too thick. My skin is a little oily so would love to find a light foundation which keeps this in check.

Clinique Stay Matte is pretty good, as are a lot of the foundations that you probably wouldn't normally think of. Dior's Nude is pretty good at keeping the oilies at bay. YSL's Touche Eclat foundation is a good higher end one too. If you are looking for something under £15, you can't go wrong with Max Factor Long Lasting Performance or Revlon's Colourstay.

Yes, I was going to suggest Clinique too, it's a bit more expensive that the brands you mentioned but I find it lasts so long that actually I reckon it's worth it :)

I've just got Clarins Everlasting foundation. It's the best I've ever used. I have pretty oily skin too but this stuff lasts all day.

Yes, Clarins Everlasting is brill too, but make sure you get colourmatched correctly. Clarins always tend to match me too dark and I end up with a very fetching tidemark. Maybelline's Dream Matte mousse was used by a friend of mine and she rated it highly.

I have recently started using Liz Earle foundation on my fairly greasy skin and it really does stay put and feels and looks very light

Thanks everyone, don't mind spending more on a good foundation, just glad I didn't on the BB oil slicks.
