Jeans - where to buy?

Where do you buy nice middle of the road jeans and trousers? I'm a reasonable size (10ish, 5' 2") but my teenage years are well behind me.

Sitting in costa waiting for your replies ladies!

Check out the Donna Ida sale, Premium denim at pretty much high street prices. Otherwise I rate Uniqlo for sensibly priced denim. I like Topshop Jamie's but of my 3 pairs, two have ripped within months.

I have to thank you Amber! You have mentioned Goldsign jeans before as being your favourites, so I had a look on the Donna Ida site and received these today and they are great (and a total bargain!)!!

AmberNectarine · 10/01/2013 12:15

Yay! Glad to be of service dexter. They are seriously good jeans, but the prices are mental. Those are a great buy!

CandyCrush · 10/01/2013 13:29

What is the fit like on those?
They look great but I'm quite pear shaped, usually a size 12 in jeans. Not sure if should order 30?

AmberNectarine · 10/01/2013 13:48

I find Goldsign a smidgen on the large side, so maybe size down? Dexter can probably advise more helpfully.

TK Maxx have various designer jeans ridiculously low prices

dexter73 · 10/01/2013 13:58

I am pear-shaped too and they fit very well. They are quite high waisted. I agree with Amber that they are a bit on the big side. I ordered 2 sizes to try.

I love Esprit jeans. Just got some half price in the sales. The ones I got last year have worn and washed beautifully. I'm 52 with chunky thighs and am 5'1" and take a size 29 there. That's something I like about them too, doing in-between sizes. We don't have an Esprit where I live but whenever I go anywhere that has a branch, I always manage to get flattering jeans there. Also GAP have a lot of different styles/sizes too and wash and wear v well too.

I buy premium denim at TK Maxx. I have bought Citizens of Humanity Ada jeans for £40 and MiH Paris jeans for £27.

Can I ask which length jeans you buy in Espirit and do you have to take them up? I currently buy petite from Next but their quality is really going downhill.

Thanks :)

I've just take the plunge and ordered the Goldsign ones from Donna Ida, never had any premium denim before!

dexter73 · 11/01/2013 11:05

I'm wearing mine today BensonBunny - very nice and flattering! Hope you like them too.
