Just logged in. Hilarious tail talk!!

Tails. The new accessory. Bedecked, bejazzled, bedazzled......

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/01/2013 22:15

I WANT one - stamps foot.

AgathaF · 10/01/2013 07:24

Could the MN tail be the next 'must-have' accessory, a bit like the MN scarf of last year?

MaureenShit · 10/01/2013 07:37

Shh.
I feel a good April fool coming on ;)

or will one of the little Per Una elves have sewn some applique onto it sneakily when no-one was looking?

SilentSplendidSun · 10/01/2013 07:46

Would it be prehensile? Can you wrap your tail around stuff? Your stapler thats mysteriously found its way to your colleague's desk? That bar of chocolate hidden in the bottom drawer?

My tail has to DO stuff. I can't see myself just swishing it, Im clumsy, I can take out someone's eye with it.

TheWombat · 10/01/2013 07:55

Ooh yes, tails! Agree they should be able to do things.
Do you think Boden will do them in 'fun', 'hotchpotch' or 'swishy' styles?

AgathaF · 10/01/2013 08:35

Hmm, tails with powers?

AgathaF · 10/01/2013 08:35

I think Boden would LOVE tails.

valiumredhead · 10/01/2013 08:52

Dress is nice but necklace is vile imo!

BigStickBIWI · 10/01/2013 08:55

It will have a row of buttons down the back, each one of which is QUIRKILY different.

And it probably comes with an ACCESSORIZED necklace to 'match'.

Loquace · 10/01/2013 09:10

I would like to know "Per una....." what? Where is the noun? Una is an article, not a "thing". Will check that once DH gets out of bed, but it sounds funny.

And also, why the Italian(ish) name when the bulk of the clothes do not look like that would really take off here?

Is this an oh so ironic pop at the slight issue of "always add one bad accessory" that Milan appears to be plagued with ?

So instead of having to add one bad accessory by yourself, M&S liberally litter your clothes with several bad accessories, saving your good self the time and bother of working out which thing you own that goes least with your get up ?

AgathaF · 10/01/2013 09:35

I'm not sure that M&S put that amount of thought into their Per Una name, Loquace.

Loquace · 10/01/2013 09:50

I think you are right, it's like stuff I find here with "For the female special!" or other nonsense written on it/lables.

I've seen some humdingers on kids' stuff in particular. "child, sleep gold with dream" That sort of mangled thing.

Feel like mass emailing clothing producers screaming "stop using google translate for fuck sake"

noddyholder · 10/01/2013 10:12

I don't like the necklace either Have seen people wearing them though.

digerd · 10/01/2013 10:34

I have lots of Per Una frilly tops - I don't wear dresses, black, crew neck, or sleeveless. < too mature>, so hate it.
A frilly back swishing peplum I would wear - enhances the bum- but a tail??

AgathaF · 10/01/2013 11:04

Ah gwan digerd, you know you want to....

polyhymnia · 10/01/2013 11:33

I think Per Una's meant to mean 'for one woman' - but have yet to discover who she is!

Loquace · 10/01/2013 12:03

My Mum is per una woman. She is a fan of a ruffle.

I want a tail. I'd probably forget to move it out of the way when I went for a wee though. DD1 would have to accessorise hers with matching fake fur hats, collars and boot toppers.

Dress is nice, but beware of traps. Love that Stella & Dot site, haven't seen it before

TigerFeet · 10/01/2013 12:21

@ LifeofPo, my mum is a recently retired teacher Grin
