So will I get a refund for this useless product??

Hi,
I posted on here a few weeks ago asking for recommendations for a big brush hairstyling thingy. After much googling etc. I decided to buy the Nicky Clarke bendy hairstyles at the week end.
Not the nicest to use as the rubber gripped my hair and was quite painful to take out, had a few tangles too.
Admittedly when they were all out, the effect was quite nice and tousled. However, within about 2 hours all evidence of curles had gone even though I had used lots of hairspray.
Also, heck of a job to get them back in the little heated bag they come in so, all in all, not happy with this £20 product so am considering returning them as wont be using them again. I tried them again the following day but had the same results.
Do you think I stand a chance of a refund/exchange for a different product?
TIA
X

Some hair just won't hold a curl well at all TBH, but I would probably have a go at returning them for a refund, on the basis that they are not fit for purpose as they do not do the job. May depend a bit where you bought them from though, some places will refund willy-nilly Grin Others are bastards.

Thanks Santa. Bought at a large branch of Boots so I think maybe they may be harder to convince.

I would be polite and firm that you fully expect a refund as the product is not effective. I have successfully returned stuff in less justified circumstances Grin and never had to argue TBH. I would present as a fair accompli - I need a refund for this, it doesn't work properly, here is the card I paid with... smile.

I have found places are usually pretty good, esp when it's not a return due to 'changed my mind' which is reliant on a goodwill gesture.

I like your style Santa! That is a good way of doing it. Am going to have to try as can't justify spending that much and not use them again.
Thanks for your advice
