Should I go up a size when ordering a leather biker jacket?

I'm a tall size 12 with long arms & wide shoulders. I've seen a lovely jacket online - is the rule with biker jackets that you order the next size up (assuming they are quite tight & fitted) or do you order your actual size so they are tight and fitted?

Thank you style gurus! Am always slightly scared of S&B but decided to bite the bullet Smile

I always size down. They stretch!

Ooh I'd never thought of sizing down! Didn't know leather jackets stretched! But I've never had a close fitting one before (just a scary batwinged jobbie about 20 years ago Blush).

I find them big .

Depends where your buying it from I guess.

I had a French connection one when I was a size 10 and the size 10 fitted well with room for jumpers.

I am now size 12 and tried a leather one on in zara but I couldn't even hardly do up the xl!

I find them tight across the shoulders and tits so usually have to size up. All Saints I bought my true size.

I'm a size 14 and bought an xl biker jacket from mango...

Surely it depends on where you are buying it from and what kind of fit it is.
