How to clean black corduroy?

I just pulled a new dress out of the washing machine and it has white fluff all over it. Any ideas how to wash this properly?

Get some sellotape. Hold out your left hand with its four fingers together in a straight line. Wrap tape around your fingers sticky side out. Hold dress and brush it with left hand until all the fluff is picked up. Next time you wash it, put it in a clean muslin bag first Wink.

So everyone who owns black corduroy owns muslin washing bags? My upbringing was so hit and miss when it came to things like this! (where do you get them?)

Just get a couple of old muslin squares and sew together the sides, put some poppers or make a drawstring to fasten the top. I'm sure Lakeland sell them for £££ if you want to buy one. If you've got any old shoe bags made of the non-linty material, they might work.
