Hairdresser experiences

do you stick with the same hairdresser or do you chop & change?
If you're not happy with the cut do you go back, or do you put up with it or go somewhere else?

My hairdresser is a lovely friendly girl but I'm often not happy with the cut and I'm never sure if it's because I didnt explain myself properly or, should she have 'known' that what I thought I wanted wouldn't really work?

I know it's hardly a life or death matter but it really bugs me if my hair isnt right, am I just unlucky or is it common to find the whole thing problematicConfused

I'd also be really interested to hear a hairstylists perspective:)

I always go to a different one. Have about 8 salons to choose from in my town so plenty to have not doubled up too often.

I have now tried them all

I hate having my hair cut and come out hating it usually

I have been going to the same person for years. I like her because I feel like she understands my taste and is honest about what will suit me a what won't. I have quite long hair and she makes me feel fairly safe that she won't cut too much off!

when I had long hair haircuts were less traumatic, less to go wrong I guess?
These days I like it short and it really needs doing every 7 weeks or so
I was thinking about trying a mobile hairdresser..perhaps it's easier in the privacy of your own home?

It takes me ages to find a stylist I trust to do my hair. I am 26 and I have only had 4 different hairdressers cut my hair in my life! Blush I'm really precious about it.

The girl who does mine now I would trust to walk in and say to her "do what you like" because she knows what I'm like and knows what I could handle with regards to cut. She always asks about the time I spend on doing my hair, and asks about what clothes I'm usually wearing. I normally take in photos I've found of a style I want and I trust her enough for her to tell me if it's unrealistic or to put a different spin on it for it to suit me.

(She also was almost as excited as me when I asked her to chop 6 inches off my hair, as she had kept suggesting it as she thought it was suit me, but it took me ages to be brave enough to do it!)

I only go every three months or so usually to same place (at least have for the last few times) but to whoever is available, unless I really really like the way it was done in which case I try for another appointmwnt with them. Previously used a mobile hairdresser for a few years who was great but moved out of the area. Good mobile hairdressers are great as generally more flexible with times etc and a fair bit cheaper than a salon.
