Making coat sleeves shorter?

Just got my my-wardrobe order this morning and the Burberry peacoat that I ordered is beautiful, but the sleeves are waaay too long. Not sure what to do.... would the Burberry store in London be able to shorten them (at a cost of course!) for me even though I didn't buy it directly from them?

The sleeves have some detail on them so don't feel confortable taking them to just any seamstress..

Thanks!

Ring the store and ask them...? If they can't help, I would take it to a tailor rather than a high street basic alterations service - somewhere that makes bespoke suits etc. They will be able to alter it and retain any detail.

Gorgeous coat! I had the sleeves shortened on a Pure coat recently and they did it from the shoulder as the detail on the cuffs was, err, so detailed! It cost £18 and you would never know it had been altered. Brilliant job by my local Polish tailor.

Thank you all, will ring their store and enquire and if they cannot help will look for a good tailor locally.

Thanks again
