Wise Mumsnetters Do you have to put moisturiser on over a serum or is serum alone ok?

Moisturiser on over a serum. Most 'directions for use' on serums say apply to freshly cleansed face before applying moisturiser. Check the bottle on yours to see what it says

My skin feels too dry not to apply a moisturiser as well.
