Can I ask what you use when you are abroad and out and about in the evening for drinks and dinner?

I take a plain black and a plain navy clutch and either will go with dresses for dinner. Ditto black and navy heels.

Thanks. I have clutch bags but they are too small to deal with the stuff that ds takes with him so his ds, pens and book.

I use a canvas tote on holiday, something lightweight and easy to sling a few things in.

Could DS have a back pack of his own for his little bits and pieces?

delmonton · 03/01/2013 07:49

I could never take a clutch bag because I would leave it lying around. I'm off for winter sun in a week and will take something like this. But I'm very casual on holiday.

nilbyname · 03/01/2013 07:51

I take a
compact mirror
lip gloss
anti bac gel
hankie
sunglasses if required
money- no cards or wallet.

DH takes camera and keys

I have a Vanessa Bruno cabas tote which is grey with gunmetal sequins like this only a slightly different colour way. Great for slinging all the child related paraphernalia into. Then I carry a small cross body bag with my essentials. I have an Anya Hindmarch mini Gracie and a little blue MaxMara which are both great for this as you can detach the strap and use as a clutch in the evening.

That is lovely delmonton.

Ds is little and we have a 15 minute walk into town so best just all to go into my bag.

I have to pack seven sorts of dinosaur, so smaller bags not much good for me Grin

For city breaks a Fossil leather satchel across the body.

For high summer a canvas across the body. Anything extra / bulkier DH carries a rucksack. I can't stand the feel of plether when it is hot.

Evening a little clutch bag.
