Help me style this dress

I'll be wearing this dress to a wedding in March (end of month, so hopefully not tooooo cold).

I'll need some kind of jacket or scarf. Don't really like scarves, but will prob be BF and may need to hide leakage. Please find me something! Quite how I'll BF in this dress is another matter, but I'll worry about that later Grin.

What colour tights/shoes do you reckon? I've worn it with black opaques and black patent court shoes before. Ideally want to wear these shoes again - CPW and all that Grin. wdyr?

I'm a HoC summer if that helps.

Link doesn't seem to be working - not sure if it's because I'm on my phone! Can you link to a different pic of it?

RarelyUnreasonable · 29/12/2012 08:42

It's from last year, so not many pics of it around :( I think the link works on a computer.

It's the very last dress on this blog post. It's blue, and the model has pink tights.

Oooh, it's gorgeous!! No idea how you would accessorise it though - personally I would be going for black tights and court shoes Grin but would be worried about a scarf with the frilly shoulder.

RarelyUnreasonable · 29/12/2012 12:14
Grin Do you think a loose, sparkly jacket would work?

no scarf - it is a lovely dress

CajaDeLaMemoria · 29/12/2012 17:39

The top link works for me on a laptop.

It's a gorgeous dress! I'd agree no scarf or jacket though. It's just perfect on it's own, and you'd risk making it look "busy" if you add a jacket or scarf.

Although it might be worth considering how you'll BF in that, the neckline doesn't look too flexible!

I love it. Enjoy the wedding!

No scarf, but you need quite visible earrings and an up-do to draw attention to the shoulder line and neck (which is what that dress is all about).

RarelyUnreasonable · 29/12/2012 18:02

Thanks ladies!
I'll be stripping off to bf in the loos - can't afford a new frock . Have some lovely earrings and will get updo done - am reading, so this will help to detract from postnatal tummy!
So are black opaques and patent courts acceptable? And although I agree to no scarf or jacket, how will I keep warm? (God, I sound like my mother!). Not had the official invite yet - perhaps it'll be an evening one Grin.

Maybe a jacket or cardigan that so the shoulder detail still shows.

simplesusan · 29/12/2012 18:50

That is a lovely dress.
I would wear nude tights and possibly nude court shoes.
Or nude tights and blue satin shoes if you can find the same colour as the dress.
Hair in an up-do and diamond earrings with a bracelet or bangle.
Forget the scarf.

RarelyUnreasonable · 29/12/2012 19:44

Ooh yes to a bangle or bracelet. Any links this way please! (Silver colouring rather than gold...)
