Nail Varnish Remover Substitute?!

I'm out on a girly night tonight, got all excited about painting my nails with a new varnish I got for Christmas (sad, I know!)...and I've realised I have no remover to take off the scraggy polish I have on at the moment! Sad

I don't have time to get to the shops, so does anyone know of any home substitues I could use?

Paint on a very thin layer of polish, then immediately wipe with a tissue. It should lift off the old polish as well as the new.

Was going to post what ScienceRocks said.

Also, I agree, Science does rock. :)

Bloody hell, that worked so much better than I thought it would.

Thank you!
