I bought the Maybelline gel eyeliner during the week and am very impressed with the wee brush that comes with it. Not as long a handle as the bobbi brown brush but longer than most of the shitey free brushes you get. The shape of the bristles actually reminded of the small bb eyeliner brush...And it's only 7.99. v impressed with the eyeliner too !

I apply my gel eyeliner with a ruby and Millie brush bought in Boots.

I love the angled ones. They take a little getting used to but are absolutely brilliant.

I currently have one that I bought at Target (in the US) once and one from Benefit. Not sure if that's still available, though.

MooMins looks great. I'm still using my BB one.

Boozeandadietjinglebell · 28/12/2012 13:04

I love the Laura Mercier one. I tightline and it's perfect for that.

MooMinCow · 28/12/2012 14:50

I also have this E.L.F one which is even thinner. Unfortunately I couldn't do flicks with it, but it would be excellent for tight lining. The RT one is great as it stiffens when loaded with gel liner so you can just rest it against the lash line and pull it along without bristles splaying everywhere. Synthetic brush definitely the way to go as they don't absorb loads of product and wash clean easily.

I use a very fine water colour brush I bought from an art supply shop for under a fiver. There's always lots of choice of sizes for a fraction of make up brush prices.

ggirl · 28/12/2012 19:43

MooMinCow -is this the elf one?

had a look at the RT one in Boots and the bristles were too splayed out

the Laura Mercier one looked good but £20 Shock so didn't buy
