Are they still what I should be aspiring to? And if not, then what? Need something cool and stylish and classic to see me through winter, spring, summer and beyond in my skinnies.

You'll get people coming on and telling you they are hideous 'mum boots' and that we have all been fooled emperor's new clothes style into thinking they are nice. However, I wouldn't be without mine, they are comfy enough to wear all day (and I don't drive), leg lengthening and work with skinnies and dresses alike. Unlike a lot of similar boots they taper nicely at the ankle (good if you have slender calves).

More importantly, do you like them? That is the main thing...

CointreauVersial · 28/12/2012 00:18

I think they are nice and certainly fashionable but there are plenty of cheaper copies around.

Santastic · 28/12/2012 08:03

...... and what are the cheaper alternatives please Cointreau?

Try Top Shop mighty - 3 colours and £45 and leather. Love mine - see Amber's comments above ...

I like Pistols and the TS Mightys but I do love these

Have a look at Clark's "Macay Holly". Similar boot for 1/5th of the price.
