Which magazine subscription would you choose?

As a Christmas present, I have been asked if I would like a subscription to Vogue, Vanity Fair or Tatler for 2013.

Just wondering if anyone here reads these regularly and which you would choose?

I generally like magazines with beauty tips, fashion ideas and articles to read. I don't buy designer labels but am interested in current trends and classic looks.

Opinions?

Am mid-thirty, btw, if that helps...

Vogue!

Clumsasaurus · 27/12/2012 19:27

It's not one of the above, but I love, love, love In Style! Awesome beauty pages and affordable fashion!
If it has to be one of the above go for vogue or vf. Taylor doesn't have much beauty content.

bangersmashandbeans · 27/12/2012 19:28

Easy living?

Clumsasaurus · 27/12/2012 19:28

Grrr damn auto correct: Taylor = tatler

strumpetpumpkin · 27/12/2012 19:31

i wouldnt go for any of them.

In style isnt bad, or Glamour, cosmo or grazia

KateUnrulyBush · 27/12/2012 19:33

It does have to be one of the three really, I don't know how I'd go about saying 'thank you but could I have X instead...' - seems a bit ungrateful...

Tatler is very funny, but less fashion than Vogue, which is my favourite out of those three. Vanity Fair has some fascinating articles, but they're not necessarily 'light' and, it being a US publication, focuses on American politics, society and Hollywood. It doesn't have much fashion - none at all in some issues. I would pick Vogue every time.

dontlaugh · 27/12/2012 19:39

I love Vanity Fair, I had a sub for 3 years. It has great writers, some fashion and the best financial articles which I could understand, look up their Bernie Madoff articles, I loved them.

Wheresmypopcorn · 27/12/2012 20:35

I lie vanity fair but their articles are a bit long winded, probably go for vogue for the fashion, I just find vogue a bit pretentious.

jessjessjess · 27/12/2012 20:37

If it has to be one of those i would go for Vogue.

DIddled · 27/12/2012 20:40

I get Red, Easy LIving and Marie Claire on subs - not sure I would want any of those mentioned...maybe vogue?

Glossynotflossy · 27/12/2012 21:38

Maybe Elle OP. I iknow its not on your list but its very fashion/beauty orientated

KateUnrulyBush · 27/12/2012 21:46

Thanks for all your replies. Vogue seems to be the first choice for most doesn't it? It is slightly frustrating as I would prefer free choice but the gift-giver has specified these three so there we are.

Do you think there is an offer on then ?

I wouldn't have any if them because their fashion, lifestyles etc are out of my price range.

I have Easy Living & Red (& Good Food Smile)

Puffykins · 27/12/2012 22:08

Vogue isn't all super expensive. It has the 'More Dash Than Cash' section. (And Tatler does something similar with Less Dosh Still Posh, but as sections go it's very short....) Vogue also does a high street supplement once a year.
