Didrikson zip problems

Dh and I now both have didrikson parkas and neither of us can do up the zip! Has anyone else struggled, is there a knack? Please save us from doing up each others zips like kids in a playground, it's easy when you are at the right angle.

There is a knack. I've got the Lynsey and find if I keep the left hand side of the coat straight and kind of tight you can put the zipper part in easy. I struggled for ages with mine. Fab coats though arnt they? Don't know what I did before mine.

I've got a Didrikson Thelma. Zipping it up can be a PITA. Fortunately the coat is so fab in all other respects that I am willing to forgive them!

Yep, coat is great which is why I got dh one for Christmas. I had given up on zip and was using poppers but dh insisting on needing his zip done up. Will give the straight/tight left hand side technique a try, thanks.

def a knzck- I still look like a 2 year old sometimes whne I struggle to do it up!

I had a problem with mine too. You need to hold the zip straight, put the zip in and then pull it down a little further ( you can just about hear a little click) and then pull it up. It took a month or so to get the knack or to wear the zip in, I'm not sure which, but now it works every time.

Worth persevering although it is a complete pain to start off with especially if you get caught in a rain shower.

Yes, zip problems with the furry hooded child's snow suit.

The knack seems to be that you pull the fat zip part almost off then you hook the thin zip part in, hold everything together and pull it up a centimeter.
After that, it should zip up properly.

For any future readers, standing up very straight, or even slightly
Leaning back, seems to work well.

I have to zip mine up then put it on! Dp zips it up if we're out! I did actually manage to zip it up the other day, thought it was just me!

Same problem here on the cathlyn coat, lost already two 'zip-teeth', and now it's even more difficult to zip it up...not handy when it rains.
Maybe I'm going to replace the whole zip. But best coat I have had in years, really pleased with it.
