Do grey and brown go together?

I've got a light grey knitted dress which i normally wear with black tights and boots but my black boots have heels... i want to wear my brown (flat, riding) boots instead and have plenty brown opaque or wooly tights but not sure if chocolate brown and light grey go together?
Do they???

I think the brown boots will be fine with grey dress but for some reason don't think brown tights will look so great - illogical I know ! - do you have grey opaques?

I suppose if it's a lightish grey and dark brown. But if they're close colours I wouldn't.
Does it look OK to you?

you're right i think the boots are ok but the tights are odd... i might have a pair of footless grey opaques.. could wear them with socks.. let me check...

Brown and grey go well together.
Instead of brown tights try purple,navy blue or grey.

marroon/wine tights?
Or I do have navy...
