dear me, they do look like something out of the 1986 lulu collection for freemans

BoffinMum · 22/12/2012 11:48

She ought to audition for a bit part in "Murder, She Wrote" Grin

noddyholder · 22/12/2012 13:27

She is mumsy personified even in her funky jeans

MariahScarey · 22/12/2012 14:37

lol that the gilet outfirt is subtitled "edgy"

MIND YOU to be fair the daily mail only ever ever ever lets women wear nude heels and wrap dresses

The trousers and dinner jacket combo is like a panto costume. Poor Emma.

pootle123 · 22/12/2012 14:42

Since when did asos rebrand itself as As Os?

suze28 · 22/12/2012 15:12

It's all totally hideous particularly the 'dinner party outfit'. Where on earth did they get the stylist from?

MissMogwi · 22/12/2012 15:46

Grin My eyes!

The dinner party outfit is so awful it's brilliant.

knackeredmother · 22/12/2012 16:02

I went to school with her stylist!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 22/12/2012 16:13

Ye Gads. That spider woman maxi makes even the monstrosities in Per Una look stylish. And those trousers have given me a migraine.

I like the 'Going for a walk' outfit though - indeed it is the very thing I might wear myself to erm...go for a walk, i.e. caring about being warm, dry and comfortable rather than stylish.

DonaAna · 22/12/2012 16:17

This just illustrates how hard it is for a grown woman to look good in ASOS clothes.

I checked her Pinterest boards. Looks like she has had a style wake-up call, just like many of us. She's trying very hard, inspired by VB and Miranda Kerr Wink

As for the 1980s trousers and exaggerated shoulders, I fear all of us will be wearing them some seasons down the line. I've seen quite a few twentysomethings doing power dressing...

noddyholder · 22/12/2012 16:22

Lots of teens doing ironic take on power dressing but on true grown ups it looks thatchery. Ds friend wearing big shoulder dynasty dress but at 18 she looks cool

Startail · 22/12/2012 16:24

Boxing day walk is nice, the rest is utter tripe.

LilyVonSchtupp · 22/12/2012 16:27

A parka, skinnies and knee length boots? For a Boxing Day walk?? I quite literally would never have thought of that!!!! (makes copious notes)

Re: 80s. If you wore it the first time, you shouldn't the second time.

TheCrackFox · 22/12/2012 16:33

She is a truly lovely looking woman. But the hair is very 1989 and the stylist needs to be sacked.

cazza40 · 22/12/2012 16:36

Agree she is great looking but bloody awful clothes ... The carol concert outfit wtf !

noddyholder · 22/12/2012 16:40

It's the hair. The 80s look is very alexa Chung who could get away with it

BaublesAndCuntingCarolSingers · 22/12/2012 17:17

Someone needs to stage an intervention.

Get Emma out of the "funky" mum clothes and into something naice. She is a naice woman. I would just like her to dress like a naice woman, not try to be edgy or "funky". Just be naice, Emma.

MariahScarey · 22/12/2012 17:21

hair is DIRE

BaublesAndCuntingCarolSingers · 22/12/2012 17:32

Hair is dire.

I think she must share a hairdresser with Kaplinsky and Silverton.

SnowProbs · 23/12/2012 16:42

Wtf is that skirt she is wearing with the cheapo looking fur gilet? Vile.

What does Emma Forbes do again? She must have mates at the DM.

judefawley · 23/12/2012 21:48

Hahahaha!

That has given me a good laugh.

The only thing that isn't completely repulsive is the 'boxing day walk'.

And what's with the atrocious 65 year old's shampoo and set hair?
