Do expensive hair dryers make a difference?

My hair dryer has suddenly died and I need to buy a new one.

Can't decide whether to invest in a top of the range one or just get a cheap one.

I have shoulder length hair which is quite thick and wavy but lacks volume. For the past 20-something years I've had and styled very short hair so am totally clueless about products for long hair. TIA.

Yes massive difference - smoother hair and quicker drying time. Get a Parlux.

Absolutely. No doubt. Like valium says, massive difference. I could never go back to a cheapie one. Invest. They last forever, they have a great long flex so it's always long enough to get to a mirror, and they are way more powerful. Buy a Parlux, or at least a professional hairdryer.
