Here. I lust after these boots but they just wouldn't go with my style or anything in my wardrobe :(

Ooh, I have these. Wear them loads (I wear jeans a lot). Skinnies tucked in, boot cuts over the top. I love how rugged they are. They don't go brilliantly with my new Zara coat though...

daisydoodoo · 19/12/2012 20:04

I wear them with leggings or thick tights and dresses or tunics. Quite mumsy but it's comfortable and casual look for weekends with the children after having to dress very smart for work all week.

thenightsky · 19/12/2012 20:05

Oh I soooo love them too, but I cannot justify yet another pair of boots Sad

ISawSantaKissingThePortlyPinUp · 19/12/2012 20:05

I mainly wear 50's style clothing so I'd never get to wear then but they look so comfy and stylish. I'm sure they were in a MN swears by email recently.

OP posts:
thenightsky · 19/12/2012 20:07

Actually... has anyone else noticed that Clarks sizes are smaller these days? I'm normally a 6 and half, but I tried a couple of 7s on the other week and they were incredibly short and toe-squashing. They felt more like a 6 or even 5 and half.

QueenCadbury · 19/12/2012 20:07

Ooh I love them but when I tried them on they were really baggy. Anyone else found this? For 50 quid though I'm tempted to put up with the bagginess...

daisydoodoo · 19/12/2012 20:12

Yes theycome up small. I'm an 8 and they are tight on the toes. I can't wear thick socks with them.

CointreauVersial · 20/12/2012 00:37

I was just thinking that Clarks come up big! The last boots I bought in Clarks were a size 6, and I haven't bought that size since I was about 16.

OP, I tried those boots but my heels lifted out of them when I walked, so no good for me.

finlaysmum12 · 20/12/2012 10:07

i have a black pair, I'm usually a 5 1/2 but a 5 fits perfectly. They are the comfiest boots ever!
Also, I have disgustingly thin, shapeless legs and can't do "short boots" normally, but i love this with skinny jeans / chunky tight too.

MsElleTow · 20/12/2012 10:09

I've got really skinny legs, would they be really flappy on me?

browneyedpixie · 20/12/2012 13:52

I'm normally a size 7 and 6 fits me!

BieneMaja · 20/12/2012 15:15

Def come up at least half size big. All Clarks boots do IMO

MustafaCake · 20/12/2012 15:50

AAgh pissed off, bought these at £79.99 a few weeks back!

They are immensely comfy and my last pair lasted 2 years!

theoriginalandbestrookie · 20/12/2012 15:51

just ordered them in the gray. I'm a 6.5 - 7 and I have ordered the 6.5 so hope they are ok

CharlieMouseWillDoIt · 20/12/2012 16:54

Gah, I really wish I hadn't seen this post. I've been lusting after these boots too, but I really don't need another pair of boots, even at £50.

finlaysmum12 · 20/12/2012 22:18

MSELLETOW (oh,i just got the name.ha ha)

I think because they are styled to be slouchy they look fine, not baggy in a "too wide for those stick insect legs"

wow,I bet that helped Confused

LemonBreeland · 20/12/2012 22:20

Ooh they are lovely. Really have no money for new boots though. These are the kind of thing I would live in.

newtonupontheheath · 20/12/2012 22:21

I bought these boots on Wednesday. They'd been marked down again to £34.99 (by mistake!!) and I bought them on impulse... Like them more every time I try them on Grin

toofattorun · 20/12/2012 22:45

What colour should I buy?

toofattorun · 20/12/2012 22:47

I am a size 18 btw and my legs are quite chunky. Should I buy the black or grey?

newtonupontheheath · 21/12/2012 07:19

I got the grey... Nicest IMO.

I've got chunky calves which is why I bought these. Really want some knee high leather ones but can't zip any up Hmm

theoriginalandbestrookie · 21/12/2012 08:28

Glad you said the grey newton - thats what I have ordered.

They seem to be making boots even thinner these days. I have had no problems in the past getting knee high ones and was shocked to try a pair on in Jones and not get them past my calves. Haven't even been doing much running and my legs are pretty skinny.

theoriginalandbestrookie · 24/12/2012 16:22

They have arrived - love them

Sparklegeek · 27/12/2012 12:46

I ordered 2 pairs for size, am keeping one, but want to know if anybody else with the grey ones has the problem that the toes are a much darker suede than the rest of the boots? Both the pairs I ordered are the same so I went online to re-order but my size has now sold out Xmas Hmm & then I noticed that they are the same in the picture online!

Have decided to keep as I do love them but it's such a shame as they look like they're wet at the front - most odd!

DrGoogleWillSeeYouNow · 27/12/2012 15:41

I'm really disappointed. I've been looking at these on line and decided to go and get them today. Tried them on in-store, they're absolutely feckin HUGE around my calves. My legs looked like two twigs in a bucket. And the foot part is very big, I'm normally a 4 and even with chunky socks on they were massive.

And yes Sparkle, every pair were darker on the toes than the rest of the boot, like the suede had worn a bit, but I guess that's how they are meant to look.
